Back nut has a reverse (left hand) thread to help prevent the fitting coming loose when connecting valves and/or pipework to the fitting.
Important: ensure there is sufficient smooth, flat surface area surrounding the fitting location, to enable the flanges of the tank fitting to rest flat against the tank wall – both on the inside and the outside. Placing the fitting too close to a rib, curve or similar feature in the tank wall will cause the fitting to leak. Overall flange diameter provided in the diagrams above.
